Orlic: The opposition came with a clear goal, a disgraceful attack on Vucic

President of the National Assembly of Serbia Vladimir Orlic said last night that the opposition came to the special session dedicated to Kosovo and Metohija with the intention of creating an incident, which he said was a "disgraceful and disgusting attack" on President Aleksandar Vucic.

Orlic was on Pink TV when said that "a cowardly rampage by the Jana coalition" took place during the session.

"Zavetnici, Dveri, DSS, Narodna Stranka, others also took part, they lunged at President Vucic to lynch him," said Orlic, reports Tanjug.

He recalled that Vucic had invited everyone to the Presidency for consultations to inform them about all the details that may not be discussed publicly, but that they showed they were not interested in Kosovo and Metohija, nor the Serb people, nor Serbia in general, and that they wanted to go to the Assembly.

Orlic said that Vucic is the only president of Serbia who comes to the parliament for discussion and that he was there for the fourth time.

He added that Vucic participates in the discussion, listens to questions and comments, and provides answers to everyone.

"It's always a problem that he comes and speaks. This time they completely showed that they really don't care that he came, participated in a dialogue with them and answered everything. He addressed the Assembly more times in one day than all the presidents of Serbia before him together," said Orlic.

He added that the opposition came to the session with the "obvious intention of creating an incident" and added that by this he meant the deputies from Zavetnici, Dveri, DSS, Narodna Stranka, Demokratska Stranka.

"They entered the hall, and they were late, carrying banners reading, 'This is treason, This is capitulation'... This is an indication that they came there with a clear goal. For them, it was the right moment to jump to do him (Vucic) some damage. Then you saw everything that happened, not only this disgraceful and disgusting attack they created," said Orlic.

He added that all of them together failed to move Vucic "by a millimeter," who instead "lined them all up like pins in a bowling alley, knocked them down and knocked down all their lies and insults."

Orlic then said that Vucic showed a serious, responsible and statesmanlike attitude during the session, while the opposition, according to him, showed complete brazenness towards their country, irresponsibility and "screaming emptiness" when it comes to any policy.

"For me, what the opposition did is an indicator of anti-state activity because they only managed to harm their country, to make (Albin) Kurti happy, and also, I see, those in Zagreb and others who do not wish us well," said Orlic.

He added that it was an anti-state coalition that tried to harm a statesman who, he pointed out, was protecting Serbia.

"They lunged at the president of Serbia at the very moment when he was addressing our heroes, Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija who are the victims of Kurti's terror," said Orlic.

He said that they came with the aim of all of them "coming after Vucic again."

"There is no ideology, no common policy there, they all gathered to be against Vucic," Orlic added.
