This is the gorgeous lynx Rista who recovered after getting hit by a car: He's released back into nature

The young lynx Rista, who was hit by a car on the Djerdap highway, has recovered and today returned to his natural habitat - the Djerdap National Park.

"Today is a special day for the Ministry of Environmental Protection, for the protection of Serbia's nature, for the Djerdap National Park, because an extremely important event has just been realized, which is the return to its natural habitat of a previously injured lynx that was cared for by the Bor Zoo experts for more than two months.

I thank them for their work, effort and sacrifice so that this strictly protected species could go back to its natural habitat," it was said today.

In a video obtained by Telegraf, the lynx can be seen running in the snow, free again to live in nature.

The vets who cared for him shed a tear as they parted with him.
