This never happened in Serbian sports before: Partizan fan banned for life!
Spitting at the referee during the match against Baskonia will cost him dearly
The Partizan Belgrade basketball club has decided to mete out draconian punishment to a fan who was found to have spat at the referee during the EuroLeague match against Baskonia.
After an investigation, the club established that the fan was S.G., who was ID's by the police, and he was banned for life from attending the club's matches, wherever it plays as a host.
Partizan also initiated a lawsuit against this person.
Also, it is noted that the amount of 5,000 euros will be demanded from the perpetrator as compensation for the EuroLeague fine, plus court costs.
"As you can see in the video, S.G. committed this act unprovoked, while Partizan had a convincing lead and without any doubts about any decision made by the referee. We must together stand in the way of transgressors in our arenas," says Partizan's announcement.
