Novak stops interview to address his mother, Dijana's tears of joy: The whole stadium sang to her
Novak Djokovic reached the semifinals of the Australian Open, after winning the match against Andrey Rublev 3-0 (6-1, 6-2, 6-4), and afterwards he gave a new speech that delighted the tennis world.
On that occasion, Djokovic also addressed Roger Federer in a gentlemanly act as he asked for ovations and applause from those present at Rod Laver Arena for his great rival.
However, the most emotional moment of the interview with Jim Courier was when Novak interrupted it to address some special people in his life.
First, he congratulated his physio Miljan Amanovic on his birthday, and then addressed his mother Dijana, whose birthday was on January 24.
Novak wished a happy birthday to his mother publicly in front of everyone, told her he loved her and made a heart gesture dedicated to her.
That prompted the entire Rod Laver Arena to start singing "happy birthday" to her, which delighted Dijana, who couldn't hide her happiness and even sone tears of joy.
