New details of Belgrade murder of 2 sisters: Both have same marks on their hands, only family knew about money
The Belgrade police are still looking for one or more killers who, two weeks ago, killed the sisters Jelisaveta (76) and Gordana DJ. (78) in an apartment in Marka Pola Street in Belgrade's Bezanijska Kosa neighborhood.
The autopsy of the bodies and the toxicology reports are still being done, and during the investigation, scratches were noticed on the hands of the victims, which indicate that the women fought the attacker(s).
As Telegraf.rs has learned, the body of one of the women was found in a bed, and the body of the other was on the floor. The police suspect that they were killed during the Christmas holidays, and that the motive is theft.
"The apartment was not broken into, so we suspect that the sisters knew the killer and let them in. Also, after the crime the killer locked them up and ran away with the key. The apartment was not ransacked. The police took only one video from security cameras from a nearby building," says our source close to the case and adds that the police have questioned several people, but there are no suspects yet.
The crime was discovered on Saturday by the building's manager. One of the victims had a pillow on her head, and there was blood.
It is not yet known how the women were murdered, as the autopsy report is pending.
It is suspected that they were killed for money because one of the sisters sold a house and kept the cash in the apartment. The neighbors knew nothing about the sale, but the victims' relatives did.
