Autopsy ordered of the baby found in a freezer in Zemun: Police are looking for the mother
Belgrade police last night received a call from Z.M. (62) that even they couldn't believe - namely that a baby's body was found in a freezer.
The deputy of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade was informed about this.
As we have learned, the body of the baby was packed in a plastic bag and placed at the bottom of the freezer.
The police questioned Z.M. who claimed that he "just moved in with his four children and that wanted to clean an old freezer." He could not say how the body ended up where it was found.
As Telegraf.rs has learned, the police are determining who the baby's mother is and who put it in the freezer.
The prosecutor ordered an autopsy to determine the age, as well as the manner in which the infant died. There were no visible signs of violence on the body, but it was not possible to estimate how long it had been in the freezer.
The investigation is ongoing.
