Vasilije was in the ambulance stopped by Kosovo police: "I felt uncomfortable, I'm still receiving therapy"
Vasilije Tomasevic from North Mitrovica was lying in an ambulance that was kept at the Jarinje administrative crossing by the Kosovo police because of the vehicle's license plates. He says that as a patient under sedation, he was not at all comfortable when he realized that he might not be able to reach the hospital, reports Kosovo Online.
Tomasevic was returning from the KBC Zvezdara clinic in Belgrade.
"Yesterday (Tuesday) morning we went to Belgrade for coronary catheterization. On the way back, the police stopped the ambulance at Jarinje and said that the vehicle cannot enter Kosovo. They said the car was not registered. I felt uncomfortable, I'm still receiving therapy, and when they tell you that you can't return to continue treatment in your own hospital, it's not all the same," said Tomasevic.
A large number of Serbs from municipalities in the north of Kosovo have had problems in the previous days while crossing Brnjak and Jarinje by car, because the Kosovo police is stopping and warned them that they have no right to use their vehicles with KM plates, after they extended registration after December 10.
