Suzana is very sad on the eve of the biggest Christian holiday, because everyone celebrates with their family, but she will not have her loved ones gather together

Serb man Sladjan Trajkovic, a former member of the Kosovo police, will not spend Serbian Orthodox Christmas. January 7, with his family because he is still being held in custody in Podujevo.

His wife Suzana is very sad on the eve of the major Christian holiday, because everyone celebrates with their family, but she will not have her loved ones gather together.

"We only pray to God that Sladjan's innocence is proven and we believe that he is innocent," Suzana told Telegraf.rs.

Suzana says that her husband's lawyer filed a complaint and asked that Sladjan be transferred to house arrest. Although this is the only thing she wants, she doubts that her wish will come true.

"He is now in Podujevo, in the Serb part. He was transferred on December 17, first he was in a cell with Albanians for two days, then they transferred him to the Serb part... Saturday, Sunday, Monday, they only gave him a pillow on Tuesday. He will not say in front of the children whether he is being mistreated or not, in order not to distress the children," said Suzana, who once again appealed to the international community.

"I would once again like to appeal to the European Union, especially EULEX, to stand in the way of (Albin) Kurti's terror, not to turn a blind eye to this in the 21st century, because Sladjan is not being provided with adequate health care," says Suzana.

Sladjan is in dire need of medical care, and his wife says that he is not feeling well either mentally or physically. She says that she cannot believe that Serbs in Kosovo, her husband, do not enjoy the basic right to medical treatment.

"He had a wound on his head repaired three times, because he had fatty tissue, he had high blood sugar. That wound also broke through now on his leg. We sent the pills 15 days ago, but they didn't take them because the medication had a Serbian stamp. Three days ago we bought pills in Pristina with the stamp of so-called Kosovo, on Wednesday we went to visit, we turned over the pills, they received them at the police station, but yesterday when we called, the pills were not yet given to him", Suzana recounts the agony that Sladjan is going through.

The members of Sladjan's family are no less distressed. The holidays, she reveals to us, are difficult.

"The hardest thing is with the children. The children are separated from their father... I comfort them that everything will be fine, but I don't believe it myself anymore. We didn't plan anything for Christmas, I thought I wouldn't prepare anything. My daughter is coming with my granddaughter, as well as my son, so for their sake, I will... We will try to celebrate somehow," says Suzana.

Sladjan Trajkovic was arrested on December 15 in the southern part of Kosovoska Mitrovica where he went to buy medicine.

His wife found out about his arrest a few hours later when she went to the police station to inquire what had happened to him.
