The best Serbian tennis player, Novak Djokovic - if he sticks to his conviction about not getting vaccinated against Covid - will certainly not be able to participate in the Masters in Indian Wells and in Miami, according to new US measures.

Namely, local administrations there have extended until April 10 the law that requires every foreigner to be vaccinated if they want to enter the country.

This makes it clear that Novak will not be able to play in Indian Wells or in Miami, where tournaments that start on March 8 and on March 22.

Currently, Djokovic is playing in Adelaide, after which he will move to Melbourne where he will compete at the Australian Open.

He couldn't play there last year either, and this January tour would not have been possible if the same law had remained in Australia. Fortunately, that has changed and the Serbian will be able to try and equal the number of Grand Slam titles with those won by Rafael Nadal.

On the other hand, the US still maintains its position, thus remaining one of a few countries on the planet that still has this kind of Covid rules.

Other tournaments there, b this new date, are definitely not important for Djokovic's career, who has not looked in the direction of Delray Beach or Dallas for a long time, but missing the said Masters certainly hurts.

What could hurt even more is yet another extension of such senseless rules, because in due course participation in the US Open, the most important competition for Novak, could also come under the question mark.

This way, he will certainly not be able to compete for 2,000 points, but the top ATP spot has not been his priority for a long time - winning Grand Slam trophies is. It remains to be seen whether a new extension of US Covid measures will come after April.
