Novak Djokovic returns to Australia!
Novak Djokovic has returned to Australia, having landed in Adelaide, where he will play the 250 series tournament next week, as a warm-up for the Australian Open.
This is Novak's first return to Australia since the Australian authorities' disgraceful decision to deport him early this year, when he was not allowed to compete at the previous Australian Open because he was not vaccinated against Covid.
He was detained, then after two court appearances deported after almost two weeks of agony.
However, even though Novak was banned from entering the country for the next three years, this ban was lifted recently after the change of government in Australia and he will now compete there.
Djokovic will be chasing his 10th Australian Open title this year. The tournament will take place January 16-29 in Melbourne.
