"We are on verge of armed conflict thanks to Pristina's unilateral moves"
Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic today called on non-governmental organizations, which are part of the National Convent, to speak out about the torment experienced by Serbs in Kosovo, reports RTV.
At the session of the National Convent in the Assembly of Serbia, Brnabic pointed out that at this moment everyone should do their best to preserve peace.
"We are on the brink of an armed conflict thanks to Pristina's unilateral moves. Civil society organizations, please speak out about the torment experienced by Serbs in Kosovo. We must preserve the peace together," said Brnabic.
She asked where on the European continent it is possible to have no information about an arrested man for 12 days, like in the case of Dejan Pantic, a Serb arrested by Pristina authorities in Kosovo and Metohija.
"No one knows where he is, it is not known if he receives his medical treatment. The family cannot speak to him. The head of EULEX (EU mission in Kosovo) reacts to all this and says that they do not know where he is. And what are you doing in Kosovo and Metohija? How is this alright to you, in human terms," Brnabic asked.
She recalled that the arrest of Dejan Pantic, in addition to preserving the Brussels agreement and the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO), is the reason why the Serbs are on the barricades.
"No matter how much we differ, we should insist on human rights and give peace a chance. They will react differently when they hear you. Please, these are the things that are important to us for the sake of peace, and EU integration," said Brnabic.
