Borrell calls on Belgrade and Pristina to de-escalate tensions and return to dialogue
The European Union strongly urges Kosovo and Serbia to de-escalate their latest conflicts, said the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy and Security, Josep Borrell, reports Reuters.
He said that the parties must return to talks and finding ways to end the clashes in the streets and the setting up of barricades.
Serbs in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, who are protesting against the arrest of former police officer Dejan Pantic, are still at the barricades.
The north of Kosovo and Metohija is also blocked by the Kosovo police, and one cannot even walk on foot through the administrative crossings of Brnjak and Jarinje.
