Germans employ 60,000 workers in Serbia: Big gathering today in Stuttgart, they're looking for new partners
A set of German initiatives to find suppliers in the countries of the Western Balkans, which consists of a series of concrete business meetings, will be held today in Stuttgart.
The goal of the 8th edition of this regional B2B project is for German companies to find new suppliers from several well-known industrial areas in Serbia and the countries of the Western Balkans.
On the German side, more than 50 companies have confirmed their participation in the project, and the concept of business talks is based on the B2B - matchmaking mechanism.
German companies are mainly from the metal processing sector, suppliers for the auto industry, as well as those from the processing and production of plastic materials, and several companies from the electrical and electronic sector.
The sponsor of the event is the Ministry of Economy and Energy of Germany, as part of the Program for the Development of Foreign Markets for Small and Medium Enterprises, and those implementing the program are the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (AHK Serbia), the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) and the German Association for Materials Management, Import and Logistics (BME e. V.).
Germany is the top foreign trade partner of Serbia with an exchange of more than 6.5 billion euros, of which Germany imports products from Serbia worth more than 2.7 billion euros annually.
German companies in Serbia employ about 60,000 workers, and several of them are on the list of the top 15 largest exporters.
