Ana Brnabic meets with Romanian prime minister

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met in Bucharest today with her Romanian counterpart Nicolae Ciuca, and after that she will participate in the Munich Leaders' Meeting, which gathers more than 50 participants at the highest level.

The meeting will discuss the effects of the war in Ukraine, and Ana Brnabic will also take part in a round table dedicated to connecting the Western Balkans.

In addition to the prime minister, EU's special envoy for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina Miroslav Lajcak, Germany's special envoy for the Balkans Manuel Saracen, high representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Christian Schmidtt, Slovenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Tanja Fajon and others will also attend the meeting.

The Munich Leaders' Meetings is a special format of the Munich Security Conference where current challenges and international security policy are discussed.

These meetings are held once or twice a year in capitals around the world. Last year it was organized in Washington, and this is the first time that the event is held in Southeastern Europe.

Brnabic started her visit to Bucharest yesterday with a meeting with representatives of the business community. Serbia's trade with Romania last year amounted to over 2 billion euros.
