100 migrants detained in major police operation in Subotica and Horgos

A major police operation is under way in the area of Subotica and Horgos on Friday morning.

The area is being searched and more than 100 irregular migrants have been detained so far.

Special forces, helicopters and drones are all involved.

As we we have learned, Minister of Internal Affairs Bratislav Gasic is also on the ground in the area of Subotica, in order to provide support to members of the MUP (Interior Ministry) who are dealing with irregular migrants and criminal groups of people smugglers every day.

Also, Minister Gasic is at the scene to support the citizens of Serbia's northern town of Subotica, Horgos and the surrounding areas, in order to assure them that the police is always there to protect them and their property.
