Official warning issued: Black panther is at Apatin, northern Serbia, take care of yourself, your loved ones

The Serbian public company Vojvodinasume has announced a warning about the appearance of a black panther in the territory of the municipality of Apatin.

The Sombor branch of the company announced that a black panther (leopard) was spotted in the fields of the Municipality of Apatin.

Since the predator is extremely dangerous, Vojvodinasume urges citizens to take care of themselves and those close to them.

"If someone spots a black panther, it is necessary to immediately notify the competent police station," the announcement states.

The panther is a carnivore that feeds on animals the size of dogs, cats, and goats.

It belongs to the type of animals that camouflage in nature, so it is unlikely that it would move from the wilderness to the city.

It travels long distances, so it can quickly move from one location to another.
