Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesic has reacted to the confirmation of information that a criminal clan was preparing to assassinate the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.

Vesic stressed that there had been accusations from opposition deputies for months heard in the Serbian Assembly against President Vucic, and now, when the real truth came out, we did not hear that anyone apologized for that.

"For months, in the Serbian Assembly, we have been hearing accusations from opposition deputies against President Aleksandar Vucic regarding the Belivuk-Miljkovic clan, for months we have been hearing them attack President Vucic for fabricating the trial, that it is a clan created by the state, and today (Tuesday) we found out during the trial that it was real the leader of that clan, Radoje Zvicer, who offered 5 million euros for the murder of President Vucic. Today, we did not hear a single member of the opposition apologize, no one said that they told lies and that they told untruths, and we were listening to them as spokespersons for Belivuk and Miljkovic, as they were conveying what those two said in court."

Vesic added that, now that it has become public knowledge that 5 million euros was offered for the head of President Vucic, the opposition is behaving as if the trial does not exist.

"When it was heard today at the trial that 5 million had been offered for the head of President Vucic, no one talked about it anymore, for them it was as if the trial did not exist. I think it's time to call on all the competent authorities to investigate those claims and to determine who tried and who offered to pay for his assassination and finally determine who are those who are politically involved in it and who are spreading that clan's lies, because obviously what is happening at the trial is moving to the political scene of Serbia," said Vesic and added:

"It's time to determine that once and for all and determine who politically supports that clan."
