Lisine waterfall was tallest in Serbia for a long time: It lost that status to Stara Mountain
It is located near another very attractive site for tourists - the Resava Cave, so a large number of travel agencies have combined these two natural attractions into one trip, often including a tour of the Manasija Monastery.
With a height of 25 meters, the Lisine Waterfall was considered the tallest in the country for a long time, and then at the beginning of the last decade of the last century, waterfalls were discovered on Stara Mountain whose height exceeds Lisine: Bigar (35 meters), Cunguljski Skok (42 meters), Piljski Waterfall (65 meters), Koprenski (103 meters) and, finally, Kaludjerski Skok, which with a height of 232 meters is the tallest waterfall in Serbia.
However, even the removal of the title of the tallest waterfall in Serbia did not diminish the popularity of Lisina among visitors. There are many who visit Lisina at least once a year to enjoy the beauty of the waterfall and the nature in which it is located.
With the source in the river Vrelo, the waterfall on the slopes of Mt. Beljanica has been declared a natural monument and a geo-heritage object in Serbia.
Although it is most beautiful in the spring, the waterfall near the Resava Cave will not disappoint you in the fall either, when the nature that surrounds it "changes its clothes."
