The Zapadna (West) Morava, a river with 85 tributaries, flows through the central part of Serbia, which according to many is also, geographically speaking, the most beautiful part of our country.

The river originates in the Tasti Field and, measured from the source of the Golijska Moravica is 308 kilometers long, while the length of the Zapadna Morava itself is 100 kilometers shorter.

In the western part of Serbia, the river flows through the picturesque massifs of Ovcar and Kablar, the mountains that make up the Ovcar-Kablar Gorge, creating magnificent S-shaped meanders that take your breath away.

While visiting the Ovcar-Kablar Gorge and the Special Nature Reserve Uvac, it's hard to decide which meanders are more impressive and beautiful.

Looking at the photos taken in the part of our country that is often described as the "Mt. Athos in Serbia" because of the large number of Orthodox monasteries, many people feel as if they are looking at landscapes created on Lake Bled or St. Stefan, rather than a river in Serbia.
