Serie A side Sampdoria head coach Dejan Stankovic has meet with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic today, taking a photo opportunity and presenting him with a gift.
Stankovic gave Vucic a Sampdoria jersey with his last name and number 1 printed on the back.
Other than taking the photo, Vucic also had a message for Stankovic, saying that he wishes him the best of luck in his new job, but hopes he will return to his country soon.
"I wish the Serbian legend Dejan Stankovic all the luck and success in his new job, with the hope that he will soon return to his country," Vucic posted.
Dejan Stankovic spent two and a half years as the head coach of the Red Star (Crvena Zvezda) Belgrade football club, winning three titles, two cups and surviving the winter twice in European competitions.
However, after getting eliminated by Maccabi Haifa in this season's Champions League qualifiers, Stankovic left Red Star.
He soon received a call from Sampdoria to join the Genoa club and help them try to avoid relegation from Italy's top football competition, Serie A.
