Kosovo and Metohija Office director to start two-day visit to Kosovo and Metohija
The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, will be in Kosovo and Metohija on October 26 and 27, where he will attend a village patron saint day (slava) in Gornje Kusce, and celebrations in the municipality of Leposavic, the Office has announced.
Petkovic will begin the visit at 8:45 am in Pasjane, in the Preobrazenje Church where he will attend liturgy on the occasion of the feast of First Martyr St. Bosiljka, which will be served by Bishop Teodosije of the Serbian Orthodox Church's diocese of Raska-Prizren.
At noon on the Srbija Square in Gornje Kusce, Petkovic will attend the cutting of the slava cake on the occasion of the village slava of St. Basiljka, reports Kosovo Online.
On Thursday, at 10:45 am, Petkovic will visit the Municipality of Leposavic, and at 11 am, in the Cultural Center Sava Decanac in that town, he will attend the celebration of the feast and of slava of St. Petka.
On October 14, Petkovic was banned from entering Kosovo, where he was supposed to attend the enthronement of Patriarch Porfirije in the Patriarchate of Pec.
Five days ago, Petkovic was honored with the October Award on the occasion of Leposavic Municipality Day, the highest recognition of that municipality.
