Vucic: The state will be with Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, difficult times are ahead for our people
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said today that the state will be with the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, who have shown that they do not want to listen to Albin Kurti or others, but to themselves and their conscience and want their rights to be respected.
Vucic thus answered when asked if confiscation of vehicles from Serbs who have not re-registered them will begin after October 31.
He said that the reaction of the international community cannot be expected, because everyone in the Quint (US, France, Italy, Germany, UK) will say that they are against it and that they asked Pristina for a postponement, but that Kurti said no.
"Difficult times are ahead for our people, and it would be crazy to predict anything now. We will be with the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, who have shown that they do not want to listen to Kurti or others, but to themselves and their own conscience, they want their rights to be respected," he said.
Vucic pointed out that in the north of Kosovo, only two people re-registered their vehicles (from Serbian to Kosovo plates), while Pristina expected that number to be 7,000.
