Zorana Mihajlovic holds final news conference as minister: She revealed whether she will remain in politics
Zorana Mihajlovic, former Minister of Energy and Mining, confirmed during a press conference on Monday that she will not be in the new government, but that she will remain in politics.
According to her, this is the final conference where she wants to thank her team but also the media for their cooperation.
"It seems to me that energy is the focus for all of us. But it seems that the war in Ukraine had to happened in order for us to understand its importance," she said.
Mihajlovic also thanked Aleksandar Vucic.
"The media stories we heard yesterday are not true. Yesterday, Vucic and I spoke in private about not me not being a minister in the new government," she stressed and added that "she has no regrets."
Mihajlovic also said that she is not interested in getting a job in a public company.
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic yesterday read the proposed composition of Serbia's upcoming Government. According to the working plan of the National Assembly, which the deputies have been informed about, work there will continue until late on Tuesday, while the new cabinet should take the oath of office the next day.
This means that the mandate of the new government could officially begin on Wednesday, October 26.
