Serbian Government bans export of natural gas until October 31

The Government of Serbia today passed the decision on a temporary ban on export of natural gas, which will be in force until October 31.
The move was made in order to ensure safe supply of the domestic market and prevent possible damage to the economy and citizens.
The decision's aim is to prevent critical shortages of natural gas, caused by disruptions in the global energy market, it was announced after the government met on Monday.
Gas prices have been increasing in the EU in the past period.
