Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer met today in Budapest during a summit dedicated to migration policy and joint action against organized crime and smuggling, as well as the energy situation.

"Today we talked about all the important and difficult issues we are facing. Both the energy and the financial situation... We are all under pressure. We all know how difficult it will be to overcome the fall, the winter, but also the spring. I think the next winter will be even worse that this one," said Vucic.

Vucic stresed that when it comes to gas reserves, everyone guards their own.

"In our countries, people are not used to such crises. Everything we have done in the last 10 years can disappear in six months, and not through any fault of ours," Vucic said, adding that it is not only about whether we will have enough gas for households, but also for the industry.

"As long as Hungary has gas, Serbia will have it too"

"Shopping malls will be closing in some countries, because companies will not be able to pay for everything," he said, noting that cooperation and joint solutions between countries will be needed because of this.

Responding to a journalist's question about energy, Orban said that Hungary is working with Serbia on strategic solutions regarding energy supplies.

"As long as Hungary has gas, Serbia will have it too," said Orban.

"And this meeting with friends showed that partnership, cooperation and joint work can solve numerous challenges," Vucic wrote earlier on Instagram, posting photos of the trilateral meeting.
