Petkovic was not allowed to enter Kosovo and Metohija because of the language he uses
The ministry of foreign affairs of the provisional institutions of Pristina announced that it did not approve the request of the director of the Offic for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, to enter Kosovo and Metohija because of, as they stated, "the language he uses."
"Petkovic has been continuously warned that the language he is using is in contradiction with the agreement and that the repeated use of this language will consequently lead to the rejection of the request to enter the territory of Kosovo," said a statement.
The Pristina ministry claims that Petkovic's "repeated attitudes towards Kosovo are very misleading, propagandistic in nature and aimed at inciting hatred."
They add that they hope that "Petkovic will give up on making such statements in the future" which, they claim, are aimed at destroying the "constitutional order" of so-called Kosovo.
The director of the office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, said yesterday, after he was banned from entering Kosovo and Metohija for the ninth time in a row, that he will not give up on his visits and that Pristina will not prohibit him from helping the Serb people in the province.
Petkovic stressed that Pristina, which banned him from entering Kosovo, is in a most direct way trampling and violating the agreement on official visits.
"I announced the visit on time and in accordance with all the procedures. It is clear that Pristina does not want normalization of relations when they do not allow me, as the chief Belgrade negotiator, to enter Kosovo. It is clear that Pristina does not want to continue to find agreement with Belgrade," Petkovic told TV Most.
