Views from Biljeska Stena remain with visitors forever: Observation deck in our most beautiful national park
On the border of the nature reserve Zvezda within the Tara National Park, at an altitude of 1,225 meters, is the Biljeska Stena, one of the most beautiful observation decks in this part of Serbia.
It belongs to the Zvijezda Mountain, which "leans" on the Tara mountain in the northwest, so most tourists who come to Tara do not miss a trip to Biljeska Stena as well.
The observation deck is only 6 kilometers from the famous Predov Krst and 3 kilometers from Rastiste, and can be reached via a well-maintained macadam path.
Visitors who reach the top of Biljeska Stena are rewarded with a fantastic view of Lake Perucac, the Zvijezda Canyon and the Drina River Valley, and can enjoy hundreds of years old pines and other lush forest vegetation, characteristic of these canyons.
On the other side of the lake you can see Bosnia and Herzegovina, that is, a part called Osat and the settlement of Klotjevac.
However, what will remain in the memory of everyone who visits this observation deck is not only the beautiful landscape immortalized in the film "Some Birds Can't Fly" but also the presence of the famous Serbian spruce trees, a spindly relic plant species that survived the Ice Age.
