Red Star signs new sponsorship contract with Gazprom!

For more than a decade, the jerseys of Red Star (Crvena Zvezda), as well as its stadium, nicknamed "Marakana," have been adorned with the name of its sponsor, Gazprom. The Russian company came in at a very difficult time for Red Star, and has now decided to stay, so a new contract has been signed with the Serbian club.

Gazprom and Red Star have concluded a new cooperation agreement, according to which the company will continue to retain the status of the general sponsor of the Serbian champion.

In addition to advertising Gazprom brands, the agreement provides for expansion of the partnership in the development of youth football and participation of Red Star teams in friendly matches with Russian clubs.

Red Star General Manager Zvezdan Terzic also spoke about this cooperation, stressing that he is very satisfied with the extension of the contract.

"Red Star has a sponsor who has stood with the club in the most difficult and the most beautiful times of our existence. When Red Star was at its worst, Gazprom Neft was with it. We raised ourselves, stood up and proudly look into the face of Europe from the 34th place in the UEFA rankings. Not only the size of our companies, but also the brotherly relations of our peoples influence the fact that there is practically no end to our cooperation," said Terzic.
