"Belgrade is today the capital of wine": World's top wineries exhibit in our country for the first time
"Today Belgrade is the capital of wine," says the president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Marko Cadez, and assessew that "Wine Vision by Open Balkan" is more than an ordinary fair, and is instead also a symbol of uniting politics and economy of the countries of the region.
He said that over the next four days, about 400 wine exhibitors and about 40 distilleries from 22 countries will be present at the fair, as well as prestigious importers and distributors from Austria and the US.
"This fair opens up new opportunities for our wine producers and perceives Serbia as a wine country, but also the entire region as a wine region. The fair is much more than about wine, because it also represents gastronomy and tourism," said Cadez.
According to him, the fair will be open to all citizens and wine lovers from 4 pm.
Cadez said that B2B meetings will be organized as part of the fair, through which new business contracts will be established and experiences exchanged. He stressed that leaders of Serbia, North Macedonia and Albania, Aleksandar Vucic, Dmitar Kovacevski and Edi Rama will tomorrow participate in the Open Balkan Summit, where the Agreement on Food Security will be signed, which will ensure stability in that area for the citizens of the member countries of the initiative, in a time of a global economic crises.
Otherwise, among those participating in the fair are some of the world's most famous wineries such as Masciarelli, Haut Brion, Patal de Rose, Chateau d'Esclans, Saint Michael Eppan, Adega de Pegoes, Tenuta Santome, La Monde, Lodovico Antinori, Scurek, Marjan Simcic, Kozlovic, Movia, Burja, Gasper, Freixenet, Chateau Lagaliniere, devil's Rock, Domaine du Cheval Blanc, Cantina ertani, Santa Margherita, Louis Latour, Mazei.
This is the first time that famous world wineries have sent their representatives to our country.
