Disclaimers displayed at all administrative crossings as of this morning
Since this morning disclaimers have been placed in visible places at all customs points on administrative crossings (between Kosovo and central Serbia). These are notices explaining that allowing the use of identity cards issued by Pristina is done exclusively for practical reasons, to enable freedom of movement and that this cannot be interpreted as recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.
As the Kosovo Online portal reports, the disclaimers also state that the use of identity cards issued by Pristina cannot be interpreted as Belgrade's consent to deviation from UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
The disclaimers have been put up a day before the start of the new regime and are bilingual - in Serbian and English.
The notices in both Serbian and English are 50 by 70 centimeters in size.
Belgrade and Pristina reached an agreement on personal documents, according to which Belgrade will stop issuing documents to owners of personal cards issued by provisional institutions in Pristina, while Pristina will not introduce them for citizens with Serbian ID cards.
