Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today that whatever she says about EuroPride in Belgrade, which will be postponed or cancelled, will not be good.

"What Pride organizers say is in accordance with the Constitution, but it is another question what consequences it has for our country, and us telling them don't have that walk - that's more a request than a desire to ban anything," Brnabic told RTS.

She stressed that this is about what is possible at the moment and how to preserve our safety and security.

She added that the government made an appeal and that she is sorry that things are the way they are, because if there is something that is guaranteed by the Constitution, it is something that is guaranteed, but added that everything is happening this September.

According to her, there are many foreign factors that are glad about that.

"This is not really about denying someone the rights guaranteed by the Constitution, but about what we as a state can and cannot do," said Brnabic.

She also appealed to the opponents of EuroPride.

"Let us consider our country and how we can make things easier for her, because no one else will do it," said the prime minister.
