The EU's special envoy for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajcak, said after a meeting in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica that all important topics were discussed with representatives of the Serb List.

Lajcak assessed the meeting with the representatives of the Serbs in Kosovo as very important, reports Kosovo Online.

"A very important meeting for us with representatives of the Serbs in Kosovo. We discussed all important topics and we are continuing our journey to Belgrade," Lajcak told reporters after the meeting.

Lajcak was asked by journalists if it was true that he and the US special envoy for the Western Balkans asked Pristina to postpone the implementation of the decision regarding replacement of Serbian license plates and documents for three months.

"There's a lot of speculation, I don't know anything about that," he replied.

After the meeting, the US special envoy for the Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, addressed journalists, saying he hoped to be able to provide more details after the meetings he will have later today in Belgrade.

"I just want to say that we have considered the mayors' concerns. Our mission continues in Belgrade. I hope we will be able to make an announcement in Belgrade later today," Escobar said.

Lajcak and Escobar spoke with the president of the Serb List, Goran Rakic, as well as with the mayors of four municipalities in the north of Kosovo. The US ambassador in Pristina also attended the meeting.

Lajcak and Escobar met yesterday with the president and prime minister of the provisional institutions of Pristina, Vjosa Osmani and Albin Kurti, as well as with representatives of opposition parties in the Kosovo assembly.

After the meeting with representatives of the Serb List and the mayors, the two diplomats headed to Belgrade, where they will meet with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Peter Petkovic.
