Serbian national Mladen J. (37) was arrested at the border crossing in Batrovci with 10 kilograms of cocaine originating from Peru

As Telegraf.rs has learned, expert tests showed that the drug is of exceptional purity -  as high as 99 percent.

"The operational knowledge of the police indicates that the arrested person had a plan to triple the amount of (the quantity of) drugs in Serbia, given its (original) purity. Further investigations will establish that Mladen was hired as a so-called 'mule' and whether his task was only to transport the cocaine across the border. For now, it is not known who ordered it," said our interlocutor close to the investigation.

During the search of two apartments in Belgrade used by the suspect, scales for precise measurement were found, as well as ammunition, several pieces of different calibers, so a criminal complaint will be filed against him for illegal production, possession, carrying and trafficking of weapons and explosives.

The suspect has been detained for up to 48 hours and will be brought before the competent prosecutor's office in Sremska Mitrovica.
