Adrenaline-fueled adventure on Mt. Gucevo: You'll never forget flying over the royal spa
In the Drina Valley, above Banja Koviljaca, rises Mount Gucevo, one of the mountains in Serbia that is often visited by paragliding enthusiasts.
It was created thanks to a fault, when magmatic rocks broke through; it is 15 kilometers long and rich in streams that flow into the Jadar River.
The highest point of the mountain, Crni Vrh, is 779 meters above sea level and unlike the rest of Mt. Gucevo, the area of this peak is dry because of its limestone soil.
The mountain is rich in beech, hornbeam, oak, pine and maple woods that provide clean air and enjoyment in beautiful nature.
In addition to being attractive as a location for a day trip, and for those more daring, for mountaineering, Gucevo is also ideal for paragliding.
Lovers of adrenaline sports can enjoy an aerial view of Loznica and the famous Banja Koviljaca, with the take-off point in the immediate vicinity of the Monument to Fallen Fighters.
