Serbia's most modern highway: See what the section between Pojate and Krusevac looks like
We are approaching the day when the section of the Morava Corridor from Pojate to Krusevac will be completed, where works have intensified and where more than 3,500 workers and more than 1,500 machines are active every day.
The length of the Morava Corridor is 112 kilometers, with 88 bridges and overpasses, 29 underpasses and 11 loops being built on it.
The first digital highway in Serbia will connect half a million inhabitants and all larger towns in the area: Cicevac, Stalac, Krusevac, Trstenik, Vrnjacka Banja, Kraljevo, Cacak.
The highway will be a direct connection between Corridors 10 and 11, enabling better internal connection of the western and southwestern with the southern and southeastern parts of Serbia, and with Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey.
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said at the end of June that expropriation of land for this project has been completed, and that the highway is very important for the development of Krusevac and Trstenik, where an industrial zone will be built with three or four factories, which will play an important role in reducing unemployment in that area.
"By the new year, everyone will have a highway from Pojate to Krusevac," Vucic said a month and a half ago, during a tour of the Rasina District, and added that this will "mean a lot for attracting investors."
