An Air Serbia plane, an Airbus 319, on the Tivat - Belgrade route returned to the airport in Tivat, Montenegro due to echnical problems, the company announced, adding that passenger's safety was not in jeopardy.
According to some media reports, the passengers heard a loud bang shortly after takeoff, reminiscent of a lightning strike.
One passenger reportedly noticed sparks and that fuel was being released from the tank into the sea, while some eyewitnesses on the ground said they also saw smoke.
The plane landed safely in Tivat after a certain time, it has been confirmed for our portal.
