Djokovic to play for Serbian Davis Cup team against Alcaraz in Spain!

One of the best tennis players in the world, Novak Djokovic, will be part of the Serbian national team that will compete in Valencia September 13-18, Telegraf has learned.

Miomir Kecmanovic, Filip Krajinovic, Dusan Lajovic and Laslo Djere have also been called up by head coach Viktor Troicki. The captain of our team went down the rankings, and invited all the best placed tennis players to defend the colors of our country.

The Serbian national team is in a group with Spain, South Korea and Canada, and only the winner of this group will continue to the final tournament, which will take place in Madrid at the end of the year.

How difficult things will be for the Serbia squad, especially against the main competitor for the top spot, is evident in the Spanish team's lineup - Alcaraz, Pablo Carreno Busta, Roberto Bautista Agut, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Marcel Granollers.

South Korea and Canada will announce their teams by the end of the day as well.

As for Novak himself, he did not have the opportunity to compete at the Masters held in North America, there is little chance that he will be participating in the US Open, because the authorities there do not to allow entry of unvaccinated foreigners.

There is still very little time left for something to change, but until then, it is clear that Novak is ready to play for the country and try once again to lift the Davis Cup trophy.
