The Kosovo Electricity Distribution Company (KEDS) has announced that power cuts will begin today at 8 pm.

According to KEDS, consumers will have electricity for six hours, and then will be disconnected for two, reports Koha.
Starting today, consumers will only be supplied with electricity from domestic production, since KEDS no longer has the financial means to buy electricity.
KEDS said that this situation occurred due to enormous electricity price hikes on international markets and the lack of coverage of system costs.
