Telegraf learns: Kolubara coal mine firefighter arrested for cocaine smuggling, drugs worth €15,000 seized
S.DJ. (36) and M.A. (28) were questioned today at the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade. They were arrested in Lazarevac on Wednesday, on suspicion of growing marijuana and keeping cocaine for resale, Telegraf.rs has learned.
During the search of the house where they live, members of the Ministry of the Interior found and confiscated 146 grams of cocaine, 684 grams of marijuana and a larger sum of money.
The suspects are charged with two criminal offenses: Illegal production and distribution of narcotic drugs. At the hearing, S.DJ. and A.M. presented their defense.
After the questioning, the Prosecution proposed to the judge for prior procedure of the Higher Court in Belgrade to order custody for both so that they would not repeat the crime in a short period of time.
As Telegraf.rs has learned, S.DJ. is a fireman working for the RB Kolubara coal mine, while M.A. lives with him. Both are divorced and have children from previous marriages. They were arrested in the house owned by S.DJ.'s father.
"The police seized 146 grams of cocaine (market value estimated at 14,600 euros) and 684 grams dried marijuana (market value 680,000 dinars). 66,000 dinars and 1,760 euros and scales for precise measurement were also seized," said our source.
