Distressing scenes after tragedy in Boljevci: SEAT races through neighborhood, causes fatal accident

A man (83) died in a serious traffic accident that happened this morning in Boljevci.

Two cars and a motorcycle were involved, and the cars flew off the road due to the force of the collision.

As we have unofficially learned, the accident occurred when a SEAT passenger car, moving at the speed at least twice over the limit, hit another car and then a motorcycle.

"It was terrible. I think he was going at least 150 kilometers per hour. An elderly man was driving the motorcycle, he was a local, from Boljevci. He could not be saved," a shaken eyewitness told us.

They added after the horrific accident, the driver of the SEAT got out of the vehicle and started running away.

"We don't know if the police caught him. It was a younger person," the citizens told us.

The driver of the other car got seriously injured in the accident. The locals say that firefighters had to cut through the metal to pull him out.

According to unofficial information, one person who was waiting at a bus stop was also seriously injured.

The locals are upset and tell us that this is not the first accident that happened in this part of the road.

"A few days ago there was a serious accident here. The road is not well marked either. Accidents happen all the time here," said the people who happened to be at the scene.

Telegraf.rs has learned that the two seriously injured persons have been transported to the military medical clinic (VMA) in Belgrade.

The police were still investigating this morning.
