Robbers attack Serbian football team captain Dusan Tadic in Amsterdam: He fights them, gets slightly injured
Dusan Tadic experienced an incident two weeks ago in front of his house in Amsterdam, where he was targeted by two assailants who tried to rob him.
The incident happened in the night between July 27 and 28, but the Dutch media only reported about this today.
As De Telegraaf writes, two armed men waited for Tadic in front of his home in the Dutch capital, probably with intent of stealing his watch.
They were waiting for him in Van Eeghenstraat Street when he got out of his car.
The captain of Serbia's national football team then tried to escape and after a short chase, a confrontation ensued. Our footballer managed to open the helmet one of the robbers was wearing, and then slapped him.
Because of that move, Tadic suffered minor injuries to his arm and tore his clothes.
After that, Dusan went to a nearby restaurant, while the robbers fled on a scooter.
In the days leading up to the robbery attempt, the Serbian was already on alert, because two men with helmets had already knocked on the door of his house pretending to be pizza deliverymen.
Tadic was not at home on that occasion, while his wife got suspicious and did not open the door.
It is assumed that this was an attempted robbery or preparation of one. However, in order to prevent another such case, Tadic took additional security measures, the Dutch newspaper claims.
