Farmers from Pancevo and Pozarevac disperse after talks with authorities

After a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, farmers from Pancevo and Pozarevac dispersed last night.

They made the decision after comprehensive discussions about all the previously presented demands.

Minister of Agriculture Branislav Nedimovic and his colleagues spoke with farmers in Novi Sad, Pancevo and Pozarevac.

The next steps have been agreed in order solve the problems that have been brought up in the talks between the minister and farmers, while all other issues will be discussed at a meeting in the Serbian government that will be held within the next 48 hours, the Ministry of Agriculture told Telegraf.rs earlier on Tuesday.

The farmers previously warbed that they would block the bridge on the Velika Morava River and the main road that connects Pozarevac with the E-75 highway. They are seeking higher prices for sunflower seeds.
