Removal of barricades starts in northern Kosovo and Metohija
The removal of barricades has started in northern Kosovo and Metohija, says Tanjug's reporter from there.
The barricade in the town of Gornje Jarinje on the way to the administrative crossing Jarinje has almost been removed, and other barricades that were set up by Serbs on Sunday evening as a sign of protest against Pristina's decision regarding ID cards and registration of vehicles are also being removed.
In Gornje Jarinje, the trucks that blocked the road moved away first, while the gravel that was spilled on the road remained to be cleared.
It is expected that the road will be completely unblocked so that the administrative crossing Jarinje can be functional again.
The Pristina government announced last night that it will postpone its measures concerning Serbian documents and license plates until September 1, if the barricades placed at administrative crossings are removed.
