120 illegal migrants found near Mali Horgos, as well as weapons: Another smuggling gang busted

  • 0

As part of the continuous control of the movement and stay of illegal migrants and the search for smugglers and weapons, police officers carried out an operation early this morning in the area of Mali Horgos and broke up another smuggling gang. 120 illegal migrants and arms were found, as well as hundreds of passports and personal documents that smugglers had taken from the migrants.

Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandar Vulin, who attended the operation, stressed that the state of Serbia is a responsible, humane and organized country where laws and the dignity of every human being are respected.

"Every human being who finds themselves in our territory has rights that we respect without question, they gave the right to dignity, but no armed smuggling gang will pass through Serbia without being found, broken up and punished," said Vulin.

He stressed that Serbia continues to work to control illegal migration, find various armed gangs and take them to prison, where they will face justice.

"Serbia is not a parking lot for migrants. Serbia will not allow our way of life to be changed in any way and threatened by the arrival of migrants, or anyone else. The State of Serbia takes care that in its entire territory only it, only the State of Serbia, can have a monopoly on the use of physical force. We protect our way of life, we respect the dignity of each person, but in this country you will respect the law and you will not carry arms," said the interior minister.

Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs continuously control the movement and stay of illegal migrants in the vicinity of the border with Hungary, with the aim of finding smugglers and weapons, in order to preserve the safety and security of all citizens of Serbia, as well as the migrants themselves, the police said in a statement.
