Russia expands list of unfriendly countries: Croatia has been added to it
The Russian government has updated the list of countries that are "undertaking unfriendly actions against Russian diplomatic and consular missions abroad" with Greece, Denmark, Slovenia, Croatia and Slovakia now added to that list.
As published on the website of the Russian government, the list is not final and may be expanded, bearing in mind the continuation of "unfriendly actions" taken by foreign states, directed against Russian representative offices abroad.
The decision means either a restriction or a complete ban on the ability of those countries to hire employees in the territory of Russia by embassies, consulates and representative offices of state bodies.
In addition to the names of the countries, the list also includes the number of persons in the territory of Russia with whom the embassies of those countries and their consular offices can enter into employment contracts.
A limit of 34 people was established for Greece, 20 for Denmark, and 16 for Slovakia.
Slovenia and Croatia will not be able to hire anybody to work in their diplomatic and consular missions.
