Nightmare at private Belgrade clinic: Man falls into coma and dies after treatment by chiropractor

Milan DJ., 58, died after seeing a chiropractor to adjust his first cervical vertebra (Atlas). The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade was informed today that on March 24, at 4:40 pm., Milan DJ. got transported by ambulance from the private clinic Balans Medika to the Banjica Orthopedic Institute in Belgrade, it has been confirmed for Telegraf.

Milan DJ. was treated by a chiropractor at the private clinic in order to adjust his first cervical vertebra. During the treatment, he became paralyzed.

At the Institute, he was diagnosed with fracture of the vertebra, as a result of which he remained immobile and was immediately put into a medically induced coma.

Milan DJ. died at the Institute on Saturday, July 9, and the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade was informed about the event today, after which an autopsy was ordered.

The Basic Public Prosecution will handle the case should criminal liability be established.
