Video: A scene in the sky worries Belgraders: Smoke is billowing from a plane, it is not known whether this is malfunction

At the end of June, Belgraders were upset by a scene in the sky, when a plane was filmed flying above the city leaving a trail of black smoke behind it. Whether the plane was in trouble has not been confirmed to date, but now reports have emerged that the same aircraft allegedly crashed in Ukraine eight days later.

After Belgraders saw the worrying sight in the sky, the city's Nikola Tesla airport told Telegraf.rs that at that moment they had no announced emergency landings - nor did they have information about all flights happening over Serbia.

As they stated at the time, it can sometimes happen that certain types of aircraft emit black smoke occasionally during flight, e.g., cargo aircraft.

Ukrainian media said yesterday, that the Ukrainian plane An-12BK (UR-11316) crashed while landing at the airport in Uzhhorod.

It is believed that the plane was returning from Istanbul and crashed due to technical problems.

Tango Six website reported that this is the same plane that was emitting smoke over Belgrade and had the same registration (UR-11316), and that it crashed eight days later, on July 2.

However, there is no official confirmation that the plane, the sight of which upset Belgraders, is the same one that crashed in Ukraine .

The circumstances of the crash have not been disclosed, but it is suspected that it was a technical problem - the plane was unable to stop in time on the runway, writes Avia.pro.

Also, it is not known why the plane flying over Belgrade was emitting smoke.
