Strange snake filmed in Montenegro: "It appears before earthquakes, one just shook Bosnia"

A video of a "strange creature" was published on the pages of Podgoricki Vremepolov, with the author of the video himself wondering what it was he had filmed - "an ordinary, or a worm on psychoactive substances."

However, this was no worm, but the European blind snake (Xerotyphlops vermicularis), the rarest species of snake in Montenegro, that spends most of its life underground feeding on ant larvae, their eggs and other invertebrates.

What this type of snake is known for is that it often emerges to the surface before and after heavy rainfall, and often even before earthquakes, considering that it is very sensitive to seismic activity.

The fact that the video was posted a few hours before the earthquake that hit Siroki Brijeg (in neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina), prompted some users of social networks to recall the snake's "habits," so they commented that it came out because of that earthquake.

It is not known exactly when this recording was made. Maybe it really happened just before the earthquake in Bosnia. This unusual snake has certainly attracted a lot of attention on social sites.
