Abazovic arrives on first official visit to Belgrade, is welcomed by PM in front of Palace of Serbia
Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazovic arrived today on his first official visit to Belgrade, and was welcomed in a ceremony in front of the Palace of Serbia by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic.
The Serbian delegation includes ministers Sinisa Mali, Irena Vujovic, and Branislav Nedimovic. Abazovic was earlier welcomed at Belgrade's Nikola Tesla airport by Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Selakovic.
The anthems of Serbia and Montenegro were sounded in front of the Palace of Serbia, and the Guards and a red carpet were lined up for Abazovic, as is the case for other guests from abroad.
On the occasion of Abazovic's visit, Belgrade was decorated with Montenegrin flags and billboards depicting Serbian and Montenegrin flags.
After the ceremony, Brnabic and Abazovic held a meeting, followed by another between the two delegations, which discussed economic and infrastructural connections, as well as practical cooperation.
Dritan Abazovic on Wednesday started his two-day official visit to Serbia, during which he will also meet with President Aleksandar Vucic and National Assembly President Ivica Dacic.
The Montenegrin delegation includes Deputy Prime Minister for Economic System and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Vladimir Jokovic, who will meet with Serbian Minister of Agriculture Branislav Nedimovic.
Montenegrin Minister of Finance Aleksandar Damjanovic and Minister of Ecology of Spatial Planning and Urbanism Ana Novakovic Djurovic will have separate meetings with Serbian Ministers of Finance Sinisa Mali and Environment Irena Vujovic.
