Drone footage of new power plant in Vinca: Garbage will burn here, producing heat and electricity
A new Belgrade power plant is springing up in the east of the city - in the Vinca settlement, where garbage will for the first time be used as an energy source for electricity production.
This imposing plant under construction was filmed from a drone.
The use of garbage as an energy source will contribute not only to producing heat and electricity, but also to reducing the amount of waste
that will be stored in the new sanitary landfill.
This also means reducing the emission of harmful gases from the waste.
The new sanitary landfill is, by the way, specially isolated from the surrounding land with geosynthetic and waterproof materials.
In this way, leakage is prevented, which protects the environment. The waste disposed there will be compacted.
Waste will be burned in the power plant using a new technology, and the smoke that will go into the atmosphere will be filtered. The level of the emission of harmful gases will be in accordance with the latest regulations of the European Union.
